“There was a time in my life when I wasn’t taking care of my health.  I had gained weight and I didn’t feel good about myself.  I decided to make the choice to start treating my body better.  Eating healthy became my priority.   By choosing minimally processed, plant-based foods, the weight came off.  But it wasn’t just about the way I looked.  My skin looked brighter, I had more energy, and I felt better about myself. It became easier and easier to stay on track because I was feeling better and better.  This was over 10 years ago, and I haven’t looked back.  I didn’t revert to my unhealthy ways because it simply feels better to eat healthy.  When I’m tempted by unhealthy foods, I remind myself that I won’t feel good after.  It won’t nourish my body or mind in any way.  It’s just not worth it to me.  Instead, I enjoy the rewards of choosing healthy foods.  It tastes good and feels good. It’s a win-win.
